750,000 people. One city. One celebration.

And for one magic moment, it felt like all of Wisconsin's hearts were beating together. The Milwaukee Brewers won the World Series and somewhere between the confetti, the celebrations, and a question I asked my 12-year-old son, I realized the episode I pitched to myself last week was less about baseball than I would have expected.

It is is about home. And it's for them.

For the loved ones who waited their whole lives for a moment they never got to see. The people we wish we could call and can't. The joy our children will remember long after we've forgotten the final score. And the magic of remembering that we're all part of something bigger than ourselves.

In Episode 41 of Quick Before You Forget, I'm sharing the answer that brought me to tears, reflecting on two devastating career setbacks that ultimately led me home, and talking about the extraordinary collective energy we're experiencing here in Wisconsin.

Because I've felt it. You've probably felt it, too. Something massive shifted in the energy of an entire state, and that is something worth paying attention to. For an all-too-brief clock tick, the insatiable noise got quieter. The divisions between us felt smaller. Our hearts started beating together again.

And I don't want us to lose that.

This episode is about the power of one, the power of showing up, and the impact of choosing to be the good we want to see in the world, even after the confetti settles and the celebrations end. It's about finding your people, becoming the person you needed, and realizing that sometimes the very things that break your heart are the things that lead you home.

I'm also introducing something new: Quick Before We Forget. A chance for us to tell our stories together, because some moments are too meaningful to let slip away. So I have a question for you, and your answer matters: What don't you want to forget about this moment?

For Brewers fans, who was the first person you wished you could call when they won? Tell me in the comments. I want to hear your story.

Quick before you forget: The power of one is real. Be the spark. Keep the magic alive.

0:00 I'm putting the ending at the beginning because you guys, I actually had the audacity to start editing this podcast. And I realized the second that I started editing that I forgot to do the thing that I said I was going to do at the beginning of the podcast, which was I was going to answer my version of the question that I want you to answer in the comments today. And that question is super important because the answer is why I even tape, why I'm even taping this episode right now. I'm taping the episode in response to a question that I got last week. And the whole answer came from the story that I almost forgot to share. So we're going to start at the end and at the beginning, we're going to, we're going to do that. We're going to start at the end and work our way through and it'll all make sense later.

0:52 So my question was, what don't you want to forget about this moment? And it started because I actually got kind of grumpy with the reporters at the World Series for the Milwaukee Brewers. Woo-hoo, we won, by the way. Got a little bit annoyed with all of the closed-ended questions that the reporters were asking everybody. Not just the players, but the people that were in attendance and all the things. And I was like, I have a good question. I have a meaningful question that would actually be impactful toward helping us effectively time capsulate the way that Milwaukee is on fire right now. So the question is, what don't you want to forget about this moment? So it can apply whether you're a Milwaukee Brewers fan or not. What do you not want to forget about this moment? Please tell me in the comments. And I will tell you that I had that question in my head, ready to go, to the parade today where 750,000 people, by the way, I finished taping, came back. And in the, in the meantime, learned that it wasn't 400,000. Like I thought it's 750,000 people went to celebrate the Milwaukee Brewers win in the Milwaukee area today. That is actually insane, but I, In that time, the whole point, in my head, I really

2:25 wanted to go and I didn't end up going. And I understand now that the reason I didn't go was so that I could have the space to think through what I'm sharing with you here. So the question that changed everything today for me was I asked it to my kid and I did not. I was unprepared. I was unprepared for what he was going to say. So the question in my heart that I wanted to ask Anyone and everyone that I came into contact with, if I had gone to the parade, so glad I didn't. Bed was warm and comfy and living room was lovely. The question I wanted to ask was, what is something about this moment right here, right now that you don't want to forget? And my son's answer, my son's answer was, good thing we're friends. We cry a lot here. My son's answer was, I don't want to forget how happy dad was when the Brewers won the World Series. You guys, cue the Kleenex for me. Because my 12-year-old son's answer to that question, what don't you want to forget, right here, right now, was the joy that his dad had watching the Milwaukee Brewers win the World Series. And isn't that the whole point? Isn't that the whole point? It is for me. Because the first person that I thought of

3:57 when that final play happened was my grandpa. My grandpa was a huge Brewers fan. He waited and trusted and believed in the team the whole time. All his life. And he didn't get to see them win the World Series. We did. And that's so special. And maybe that's why. Maybe that's why 750,000 people showed up today in our state, in our, in our city for that reason, because this is, it's special. God, I'm crying so much. It's special for me.

4:41 It's special for my son. It's special for our family. It's special for the family that's not here anymore. Like I told my mom that I'm sure that there's a party happening in heaven. I know that Bob Euchre is running it and it's amazing. And all of our people who have gone before us and believed that it was possible, they believed it was possible for the Milwaukee Brewers to win the World Series. All of those people were jumping just like we were together. Happy confetti. I love a confetti moment. I really do. Um, and I'm, I, I don't know why, but I do think there's confetti in heaven.

5:23 So I picture, I picture all the things that happen when the brewers get a home run at Miller park. I know it's American family field, but it's always Miller park to me. When that happens, when there's something really good that happens, the home run or grand slam or whatever fireworks and all the happiness, like that's what I picture. in heaven. So that's the story. That's the heart that that's the soul behind the next 30 or so minutes that we're going to spend together. And that was where we were supposed to start. So I might be taping this at the end. But this is the foundation for where we're going. So stick with me a minute, would you?

6:11 And just so we're clear, by stick with me, I mean grab your coffee, not coffee. Minus Spindrift, by the way. And get cozy and grab your blankie. Do whatever you're going to do to get comfortable and to lean in. Because we are here to grow and learn and be stronger together. Let's go. Let's go. When did you know that the Milwaukee Brewers were going to win the World Series?

6:58 Was it in game five? Was it in game one? Was it in the playoffs? Was it all season? I know exactly when I knew that the Brewers were going to win the World Series. For me, it was when I was sitting there watching a playoff game and I saw the theme of the 2026 playoffs was there's no time like October. I was like, okay, well, that is clearly a sign because it is exactly, you know, the no place like home, no time like October. And we have in the background of my video, which if you're not watching this, please, for the love, go and watch.

7:39 It's more fun that way. We are in an era of this podcast where I'm actually starting to share like photos and different glimpses of things that are happening in real time through the video. So you're going to want to go to the YouTube and watch the video. And if it's not YouTube, tell me where else you'd want to see it. Because like Instagram rolled out a thing where we could try having episodes on Instagram. I could put them somewhere else if YouTube isn't it. But anyway, there's no place like home. There's no time like October. And time, as we know, time has been a theme and was kind of my word of the year for 2026. And it's something that's come up as a theme in a lot of the podcast episodes we've had. It's come up as a theme with my guests, as we remember Nick Nanton saying that we are a collection of the stories that we believe about our past, our present, and our future. And I've been doing a lot of reflecting on time, but then also I had that episode with Terrence Sullivan and Ellen Baker, who are coming back. By the way, they're scheduled. It's happening. They're coming back soon.

8:49 And I had a conversation with them about magic. And as we know, there's a line in the wizard of Oz. There's no place like home. So we have been on this journey with time and with home. And when I heard that the 2026 marketing theme for the world series was there's no time like October. And then I recognize that the Brewers have been saying, like, this is our year. Obviously, they've been saying this is our year for 44 years. It has been 44 years since we went to the World Series. And we finally, finally got our World Series championship in Game 5. And it was epic. And if you're not a Brewers fan, I'm sorry, not sorry. Because this episode is going to be heavily, heavily Brewers. Because...

9:41 there's no place like home. And this whole story has brought me home. And I would encourage you to, if you're not a Brewers fan, please stay with me on this because I have a feeling that there will be things and thoughts and ideas in this conversation that will still resonate and will still be impactful for you. So don't let the fact that I'm talking about the Brewers and you're a Cubs fan get in the way of us being friends right now, okay? Because we need to talk about the energy in Milwaukee today. We need to because I didn't end up going to the parade. I also am a heiress tour PTSD survivor, right? Like I tried to get tickets to the heiress tour so many times and never got tickets for the heiress tour. Well, that was my story for all of the watch parties that happened in Milwaukee. I tried and couldn't get tickets.

10:38 And then this, this parade that ended with this big rally, I was like, I need to, I need to be there. And there were no tickets. And then even the parade this morning, like I knew that we were going to have to wake up probably at 4am to go and get like a spot. And my bed was warm and cozy at that time. And I kind of just made the choice. I was just like, yeah, we're going to stay home and we're going to be warm and cozy and not be freezing and in all the people, even though I, I'm the people person, I'm the person that thrives on this energy. But I recognize and realize now that I can thrive on the energy without actually having to be there. And that is a magical thing because I thought it'd be kind of fun if we could try something because there was this energy in my city today.

11:27 There was this energy in my state today. And this week, this whole week of the World Series has felt, I was explaining it to a friend. This is how it feels to me. And maybe you can relate. So it feels because we're getting our phones. are blowing up constantly with the messages about the people running for office. I'm not going to say names, but the people that are running for office, it's all the text messages and the phone calls and the mudslinging and the nonsense and the noise. But today, this week, this World Series run, this bubble in time that we've been living in, it feels like the noise was quieted And like we flatlined and then like God brought the paddles and was like clear and he like brought us to life. Like our heart is beating.

12:25 My heart is beating even talking about this, but like my heart's beating, the people of Milwaukee's heart's beating, the people of Wisconsin's hearts are beating and they're all beating together because for this little teeny weeny second in time, we are, we're, we're together. We're parts of the same story. Like we're in this story together. And it's beautiful. Like it feels like the state feels lighter. Like I don't know how to explain it. But like as a whole, on the energy of the state feels lighter. And that got me to thinking like how How can we keep this going? Like, how can we keep this energy so that we feel this love for our neighbors and these people around us? Like we feel this way. We're, we're divided.

13:19 We are a segregated place. Milwaukee is incredibly segregated and there's all kinds of issues and there's violence and there's all this stuff. And today we were all family. Today we experienced something together that made us feel like we were like rowing the boat together. And I want us to feel that on a random Tuesday, three weeks from now. So how do we do that? Like that's, that's the goal. Like that's where I'm at because I was, I was, I, I, I tasked myself with answering a question from my Instagram. So my Instagram, I put out a, an ask me anything post like two months ago. And my thought on that was I'd get one question and I would do one episode where I answered the question. And it would be fun and a way to like engage and have this feel more like a conversation. Well, I got like a lot more questions and they were not simple questions.

14:18 Most of them were thoughtful things that have actually sent me on doing some inner work, if I'm being honest, that needs to be done. So it's been incredibly helpful. And I'm so grateful for the time and energy that people took to go and actually ask those questions. And this week's question is, is from Jenny Lawson. And her question was essentially, what was a time that something happened that felt like a setback, but ended up being a win? Essentially, those were her words. And what I hear when I think about a question like that is, what is an example of something that happened for you, not to you? Now, this is something we talk a lot about on this podcast.

15:04 And If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can go look at the other episodes. But I, as like a core belief of mine, I do have this mantra that things in life are happening for us, not to us, that God does not miss and that things that are meant for us will not miss us. Before we go there, though, because that is important. But before we go there, I want to pause and do something that I have been thinking about doing, but this feels like the right time to do it. So as you know, we have Quick Before You Forget, which is the name of the podcast that I went with because I wanted it to be about you. I wanted to have the spotlight shine on other people's stories so that we could find parts of ourselves and feel seen in those stories.

15:55 And I feel like the variety and the different... backstories of our guests has been super interesting for that and intentional, intentionally that way. I want it to feel like we're bringing all kinds of different people together from different places and different experiences and learning from and being seen and feeling connected through their stories. So I named it quick before you forget. And then I needed to confess and I know I have confessed it, but for anybody that doesn't know the confession, I did actually start with quick before I forget that was going to be the name before quick before you forget. And I changed it because I wanted it to not be, I didn't want the spotlight on me. I wanted the spotlight on other people.

16:45 So y'all said you wanted more me. And I'm so grateful. So that's when I started quick before I forget, which is also a similar format where I, I'm, like I say, answering the questions that people are giving me and we're just sitting down, you and me having, you know, I'm drinking my spin drift or drinking whatever your drinky is. And we're just hanging out a couple, a couple, a couple of best friends on a Saturday night. Nope. Friday night. What even day of the week it is. Oh my gosh. It's Friday night. I forgot it was Halloween tomorrow, guys. Like my sister texted me and she's like, what are you doing tomorrow? I understand if you're too busy, but this is what's going on. I was like, oh my gosh. Yeah, I want to see my sister. And then I realized I was like, oh, it's like we have things. We have things going on tomorrow. Anyway, so it's Friday. Quick before I forget became quick before you forget. And now we're going to do quick before we forget because I'm really excited about this because This is a moment where I want you to talk to me. Please, please talk to me. Talk to me in the comments and tell me your responses to these questions. The first and most important one, which we're going to come back to later, is what do you not want to forget about this moment? Now, this is going to be very specific for Brewers fans, I feel like. But if you're not a Brewers fan, it's the same thing. What do you not want to forget in this moment? about this moment. For the Brewers fans,

18:16 who did you want to call when they won? Who was the first person that wasn't with you that you wished you could call? Tell me. Tell me in the comments. Tell me what this win means to you and why in the comments. I want us to remember this moment because part of being present is slowing down enough to just be grateful for what we have and what we have right now is magical. So if those brewers specific questions don't apply to you, make them apply to what's going on in your world right now. And I really do, like, I'm really curious about how you respond. So tell me, tell me when you, when you think of, when you think of something big that's happened in your life recently, if you're not a brewers fan, for example, Who did you want to call and why? Like, I have my answers to these questions and we're going to get there.

19:13 But my thought is if enough people respond in the comment section, we can have like a special episode where we go through and kind of like highlight and feature some of that. Maybe even with a special guest or two. Maybe. I have balls and... Oh my gosh. I have... Things in the works. I have things in the works to theoretically bring in some special guests. Okay. So just know, obviously I've always, I'm on my, my, my friend Ivy was teasing me. I always have something cooking and this is something you're not going to want to miss. So when we do the Brewers recap, or we do quick before we forget together, and we go through some of the thoughtful answers that you're going to give me, I'm going to have some special guests with us. So I just, I just thought that was, that would be fun because I hate to say this, but I was thinking this as somebody that actually I have an award for investigative journalism.

20:18 Like I won an award from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association for a piece that I wrote about a, well, I don't need to go into what it was about, but a piece that I wrote for the, what is essentially now the Journal Sentinel in Milwaukee many, many years ago. And I found my reporter heart, my, my, my heart that asks the questions and gets really curious. I was getting very frustrated watching all of the reporters at all of the games. And then even today I was like, guys, these questions, the closed ended questions, 98% of the questions were closed ended. And I was like, I wish I could get that microphone and ask them a question, but I digress. Who did you wish? you could talk to to tell about the Brewers winning the World Series or the biggest thing that's happened in your life this week?

21:13 And what don't you want to forget about this moment? These are the questions. These are two of a whole list. I've now actually written down a whole list of questions that I wish I could ask the people. And is that something that we are manifesting? Yes. So for the Brewers fans here, Which brewer would you want to see on the show? Like if you could pick one, who would it be? I know mine. I don't know if you can guess mine, but it would be fun if you could try to guess mine. If you've seen any of my social media, you could probably try to guess mine. I'm not going to say it though today because we've been talking about things like finding your people here. through being a fan. Like I talked about it in the episode last week where, by the way, in case anybody doesn't remember, I did call it. Friday before any of the games started in the World Series, I taped that episode and I said that the Brewers, the Milwaukee Brewers, are going to win the World Series. I said it.

22:16 I have it on record. And I just knew it and I believed it with my whole heart. And we talked in that episode about being a fan and how being a fan connects you with other fans in really powerful ways and finding your people. The follow-up to that though, and as I was thinking about Jenny Lawson's question about the setbacks, I think the follow-up to that is to be the person, to be the people that you wish were finding you. Like beyond finding your people, it starts with you. It starts in your heart. It starts with how you show up in the world and how you behave and how you engage and connect with other people in this world. And that's the magic of Milwaukee right now.

23:13 Like Milwaukee is like Aris Tour Brewers version. We are blue and gold everywhere. Everybody's happy. Everybody's hugging. Everybody's in a good mood. Everybody loves each other today, right now. And it got me thinking about how powerful it would be if we took this spark, right? If we took this spark and actually did something with it, like let it glow, let it be, let it not die out after, you know, this episode comes out on Monday. I'm taping it Friday and all the energy of all the connection and collective happiness that's happening right now in my world.

24:04 And by Monday, it's going to be different. By Monday, people are going to be a little less excited, a little less joyful, a little less loving of their neighbors. And what if we just didn't? Like, what if we collectively, or you and me at least, starting here, little one The power of one is real. So you and me decide right here, right now, say it with me in the comments, the power of one. I am the spark. I am the good. I will be the good. I will keep carrying on this energy, this joy that the world needs so badly. Like I think about, you know, I said about Wisconsin and like the paddles and now the heart is beating, like our heart is beating together and how cool that is. And it's a decision that we're making and we can keep making it like you, we could wake up on Monday and have the same care for our family and friends and, and our not family and friends as we do today. We, we can do, we, we can shoot, like we could choose that. Um, and that's such a beautiful thing. And you know what I think strengthens it, what fortifies it, what makes it stronger is Then even if that just makes it stronger, we had to lose. We didn't sweep. We swept the NLCS

25:38 and CLS. I'm getting that messed up. We swept the playoffs. We did not sweep the world series. Game four was rough. Games one, two, and three were awesome. Game three, there was one inning that didn't make any sense where somehow we got like eight runs in 10 minutes and it was magical. And then the next day we came out and we couldn't get a single, single one of those. And I was like, guys, you should have saved some of it. Like had it like, could it, could it, could we have carried, could we carry it over? Like, can we, can it be an accumulative score over the course of the series? Obviously that's not how it works, but we had to lose game four. God said, not yet that night. He was like, not yet. And we had to have that loss for the wind to feel as good and to fortify us in the wind. And that's how I feel. You know, when I drew my question from Jenny out of my handy dandy Taylor Swift cup, I had my answer. The question again was, what is a time that a setback ended up being something good, essentially, was the question. What is a time when something happened for me, not to me? I had my answer. I

27:10 drew that thing on a Friday. And then I drove to Indianapolis for a concert with Andrew McMahon, where we got to hug and talk about coasters for a cause. And we had the best coasters. We had the best chat and we are friends now. Like how unreal is that? I would say that Andrew McMahon and I are friends now. He knew who I was. He gave me a hug and good things are coming. Good things are coming. That happened. I also had a super connective, restorative time spent with my friend in Indy. And then we had a really good meeting this week. super important, massive meeting this week that feels like a very big step in the right direction.

28:02 And I realized just how all of this together happening at the same time helped me realize how important it was to have the setbacks, how important it was to feel lost and To feel the losses, to feel those things so deeply and heavily. And do they still impact me on a daily basis? Yes. For anybody that doesn't know what I'm talking about, I recognize that you might not. I did have two unplanned, fairly dramatic job transitions back to back. One in January of 2025 and then another in January of 2026. And both of those situations hurt.

29:00 That's an understatement. They were devastating, heartbreaking. And I've done my best to show up in those seasons too, so that you can see that it's not always sunshine and rainbows. real life happens too. And it sucks. And, and, and both of those situations felt, I felt blindsided, nothing looking back. Of course there's signs, right? But in the moment, I felt like my world got flipped upside down in January of 2025. And again, in January, of 2026, God said, not yet. He was saying, not yet. It wasn't my time.

29:53 But without both of those situations, I would not have found my way home. Cause that's what's, that's what's happened. Both of those situations had me so tied up. I had my identity so tied up in that work and the projects and the, the ambition and the stress and the chaos. I was in the, I was, I had become part of the chaos. And when I started, I was told because I, and I felt I was the calm in the storms. I wasn't the chaos. I was the calm in the storm. And somehow in the time that lapsed, I became the chaos. And it was bad for me in lots of ways. And God was saying, not yet. But as we know, God does not miss.

30:48 So these things happened. These bad things happened. And because these bad things happened, I found my way home. First, to me, through my work in the Triumphs of Transformation book that happened kind of during the first issue, but I was on my path. I was getting there, you know, and I've come a long way since then on this yellow brick road of life. I've come a long way. I've made so many incredible friends and connections along the way that make the yellow brick road what it is. I'm so grateful because all of it has led me home to myself, to figure myself out and to know that like I can choose. I can choose to be the light. I can choose to be the spark, just like we're all going to choose to do with this big, big energy that's lighting up Wisconsin right now. We're going to choose to keep showing up and to keep being the light. So I came home to myself. I came home to God. And I came home to Milwaukee. Like this week, I feel like was a jolt, a reminder that the city that I live in is so freaking, it's great. People love it here. And it's a beautiful city.

32:15 And like, I can say that because I have been some places this year. Like I was thinking about in preparation for this conversation with you, I was thinking about, gosh, so in February, I was in L.A., And then in March, I was in Greenville, South Carolina. And then Orlando with the family. And then in April, I was in Minneapolis. And in May, I was in Chicago. And in June, I was in Denver and Colorado Springs. And it keeps going. It keeps going. I was back in Chicago a whole bunch. Back in Minneapolis. Down in Indy. And... now I'm home and home is great. Like the city is so fun and there's so much to do here. And I, and I love it here. And just that the pride of our city right now is so, so strong that like it, it, it, it's something I want to hold on to and like, just have us not lose it. And that's, that's the whole point of this episode, I think, is that I really want us to think differently and about how we choose to show up this week. Like how we choose to show up in a week after the really good thing happened. Like I feel like we're more likely to start being dark right after the light because like it's blinding.

33:45 It is so, so bright right now. And I just wanted to stay. Like I just wanted to keep being here. So there's this super fun thing about being as small of a podcast as I am, which is that like I'm doing every step of the process all by myself. And my husband's helping with some amount of the editing, but for the most part, start to finish everything you see is done by yours truly, including the fact that I just edited and cut out the ending that I was going to use. Like I was ready to use the ending and it was fine. And then I re-listened to everything else after I added my fun beginning, which was the end. And now here we're doing the end again.

34:34 And that's such a fun gift that I get as a host that I can decide. And I'm, so I'm going to decide and you're with me to redo the ending because the ending was fine. But now that I've processed it more than once, I processed it when I was saying it and when I was writing my notes about it earlier. And then also when I was listening to it just now, I missed the point. Like I missed my own point because I was reading my notes and it didn't feel right. So I'm just going to talk to you. Like we're going to bring this home, pun intended, just talking. Because what happened here is 750,000 people gathered to celebrate something huge today. And there's energy there.

35:28 And I mean what I say when I said it feels like our hearts are in sync. Like our hearts are beating together lighter after this win. And I wish we could bottle it up. and, and keep it that way. And I know realistically that that is very de lulu pie in the sky idea, but it's, it's not if we decide, like if you and I decide, and then you tell somebody about it and then they tell somebody about it, that's literally the whole point of sparks, right? So we just decide to stay lit from the inside with the collective energy of Everything that we've just processed together.

36:15 Wouldn't that be so cool? Like, obviously it's really cool to win the World Series. And it's really cool to come together and celebrate. And lots of beer was consumed. Lots. Lots of beer was consumed. It was a party in a party town. Okay? And the collective... happiness of all of that should stay here. It can stay here. It's up to us to keep it here. So let's just keep it here. Can we, can we keep it here? Can, can you with me decide that we're going to show up a little differently today? Just today, start today. Just today, we're going to show up a little lighter, a little happier, a little more grace for ourselves and others. When my kids get out of the car at drop-off every morning, I tell them, be a good friend to yourself and to others, right? So let's just do that at scale. Like, how cool would that be? And thank you, because I am in this position where I have this podcast and it's really fun and I really like doing it. And sometimes we get lots of friends listening and sometimes we don't.

37:33 And it's funny, because last weekend... Last weekend, last week, I posted an episode that I thought for sure, I was like, this is the one that's going to pop off because I'm doing the things, trying to be a little bit provocative. Is that the word? Provocative is probably not the right word. What is the word? A little bit polarizing on purpose. I wanted people to say, what? You think that the Brewers are going to win the World Series? You crazy girl. I wanted people to fight me and I wanted people to say that that social media saving lives or changing lives is also pie in the sky and delusional because I have, I am proof and I, and I'm, I'm proof that it's not, it's not at all. And the ways that it's come alive for me have been so massive. And so it's why we're here. Like it's literally me being able to practice talking to myself on TikTok for a year and a half or however long I did before I got brave enough to do this long form stuff. It's why we're here.

38:36 If not for social media and the connections and the friendships that I've made on the internet mostly, this wouldn't be happening. So I am so grateful. And if you haven't listened to older episodes, please go back and do that. If you haven't subscribed, for goodness gracious sake, please subscribe. If you haven't left a comment anywhere, like just say hi. Like I would love to hear from you and I'm so grateful you're here. And thank you to the people that I know who are watching and listening to this episode, who actually have been voting for me in Colossal's top host competition, which is essentially like the American Idol for podcasting. And I am, as of right now, I'm in second place in my group. I was in first place for a bit on the day of the cuts. Yesterday. Wow, that was only yesterday. It feels like seven years ago.

39:29 I was in... first place for a bit and it was so fun and I'm so grateful, but we just needed to be top 10 for now. So now we are top 10. Yay. Thank you. And there's like a few more rounds. There's a few more cuts that are coming. So if you haven't paid any attention to that yet, Now is the time. I need your help now more than ever. Anyway, we've been kind of comfy, cozy sitting in the second place for a bit. Thank you to all of those that have been making that happen. And now is the time to amp it up. Now is the time to share about it. Now is the time to, you know, tag a friend and say, Hey, my friend Ty is doing this thing. It's really cool. Please vote for her. Please, please, please. I need your help because there's people out there taking out ads and on Facebook.

40:12 I'm sure you, well, if you've paid any attention to the competition, you've probably seen the ads and, um, you know, it's a, it's a blessing and an exciting, happy, good thing that we are donating to a cause, but having the votes tied to a dollar hurts me. Like I wish, I wish that it, I wish it wasn't that way. Cause I don't want to ask, I'm not asking anybody to spend any money on votes. And I'm also so grateful because I've had some friends spend some money on some boats. So I'm just a grateful, grateful human. And all of the connection that we have here is special.

40:53 It's a special place that I am building with intention in hopes that we can grow and be better and be the light in this world together. That's the whole point. So I have almost forgotten to get to the next question out of my Taylor Swift cup, which we cannot, we cannot forget that for next time. And the question is from his username on Instagram is almost evil 31. Um, but the question is how did the emo roller coaster gal come to me? So I feel like that's a good question for right this, right this minute, actually, because we're talking about coming home. And I found some type of home in my rollercoaster content. So I am so, so grateful for that question. I am so grateful for you for watching, for being here with me, for spending your time with me today. That is precious to me.

41:53 And I am so grateful for you. And let's go just be the light that we need in this world today. Okay, friend, I'll see you next time. I'm quick before you forget.
