There's a big difference between quiting something and actually kicking the habit. When I quit smoking the first time, I quit for 7 years however I hadn't really kicked the habit. On the contrary, when people smoked around me it annoyed, upset, and ultimately angered me. After seven years of quitting, I started smoking again.
